SpectraWave is built so that we never see your data at all. This policy is short because there is almost nothing to disclose.
Nothing. SpectraWave has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. We do not operate any server that receives your data. The app does not need an internet connection to work and records and plays back fully in airplane mode.
SpectraWave records audio using your device microphone, with your permission, so you can capture and replay sounds in the room. Every recording is written to your device and stays there. Audio is never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and all playback effects (slow, reverse, clarity) run entirely on your device. A clip only leaves your phone if you choose to share it yourself.
Your clips, markers, and notes are stored on your device. If iCloud is available, your data may also be stored in your personal, private iCloud database, encrypted by Apple. We have no access to it, and no sign-in is required.
SpectraWave does not use the camera, your location, or your contacts.
The optional one-time SpectraWave Pro purchase is processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We receive no payment details. Because it is a one-time purchase, there is nothing to cancel.
You can export any clip and its marker transcript at any time, and erase everything by deleting the app (and removing SpectraWave data from iCloud in iOS Settings).
